You need Vitamin C to produce collagen & elastin. Vitamin C promotes keratinocytes and melanin synthesis providing antioxidant protection against UV induced photo damage. Vitamin C is essential for the formation of the skin barrier and collagen, the modulation of cell signal pathways.
Ascorbic acid, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, sodium ascorbyl phosphate.
Brightening, reduces hyperpigmentation, reduces dark circles, reduces acne-scarring, stimulates collagen, protects against photo-damage/UV rays, heals inflammation, improves lines and wrinkles.
A quality Vitamin C should be slightly low in PH for best results as this could irritate your skin.
You should always apply a hyaluronic acid based serum after vitamin C application to protect your acid mantle and reduce any potential side effects.
Vitamin A, Retinol based products are great to use at night and Vitamin C in the morning.
Vitamin C should be use in the morning after your cleanser. It's designed to help defend your skin against photo-damage. If you have hyperpigmentation you could also use at night.
I prefer retinol or other actives at night and a cream or balm to support your skin's barrier.
